Ashmeet Bharaj is a contemporary visual artist based in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India, working in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink and graphite.
In her work, Ashmeet seeks to capture the subtle beauty of nature, people, still life, and landscapes, often blending realism with impressionism. Her art tells stories, evokes emotions, and invites moments of reflection, whether it’s through the expressive use of colors or the textures she applies. Ashmeet is always open to exploring new techniques and subjects as she searches for a unique style that resonates deeply with her.
Ashmeet’s artistic journey began in her hometown, where she was drawn to painting and the visual arts at an early age. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA) from Raja Man Singh Tomar Art and Music University in 2023, she went on to study traditional oil painting techniques at Samsara Academy of Art in the same year. There, she honed her skills in classical techniques inspired by the old masters, which she now incorporates into her contemporary works.
She has expanded her practice to include mural painting, creating large-scale works that integrate her love for storytelling with public art. Her murals aim to engage and inspire communities, capturing both the spirit of the place and the people it represents.
Alongside her painting, Ashmeet is also a graphic designer and illustrator. She has worked on various design projects, including logos, branding, and digital illustrations, blending her fine art background with modern design aesthetics. Her graphic design work is rooted in the same principles that guide her paintings — a focus on narrative, composition, and emotional impact.
Ashmeet’s works have been featured in local exhibitions, and she continues to build her portfolio, both as an artist and a designer, while embracing opportunities to learn, collaborate, and evolve in her creative practice.
